For such a pretty polish, I think just two photos of Jade Delirio Rosa is enough! Delirio Rosa is a bright Barbie pink holo. My photos are taken in full sun and show two coats of this gorgeous Brazilian beauty. Application was a breeze and dry time was great (I don’t top coat my holos, so no Seche Vite to help with drying!). For my nails, two coats was opaque and didn’t show any VNL. A perfect polish!

Pastels! Summer! Awesome! Recently I bought a whole stack of coloured skinny jeans, including a few in pastel shades (the rest were neon!). While I love them, they aren’t the best quality. The pockets annoy me - they are made with white material, so they really show through. I wish they’d made them in a similar shade to the jeans. But, they are comfortable, and lightweight enough for summer, plus they cost me under $20 a pair. Can’t complain too much!
This NOTD is two coats of China Glaze Re-fresh-mint with one coat of I Love Nail Polish Little Mermaid over the top, and a coat of Seche Vite to finish. Firstly, I want to apologise for my messy cuticles! I found Re-fresh-mint hard to apply evenly, and the way I do my clean up means that messy application equals ugly clean up. I think the bad formula was mainly down to the fact that Re-fresh-mint is a pastel. Nevermind!
Little Mermaid, on the other hand, was amazing. Little Mermaid is a glitter topper in a clear base. My macro shows the glitter mix: baby blue hexes, baby pink hexes, and silver sticks (they are too small to be bars!). It is a very subtle and sweet combination. And highly unique! I don’t think I’ve seen anything with these shades of glitter before. I actually had a hard time deciding what base colour to put Little Mermaid over. I tried out a few pairings on nail wheels and I found that a lot of colours overshadowed the subtlety of the glitter. I didn’t try it over white, but that might work even better than mint green!
The formula of Little Mermaid was great, just like the other ILNP polishes I have tried out. I have nothing problematic to report! I did do a little ‘gap-filling’ with this one, however. That was less to do with application and more that I wanted the glitter to be very evenly dispersed. I wasn’t a fan of Re-fresh-mint against my skin tone so I wanted to cover it up and divert the eye as much as possible.

These jeans were my first coloured denim purchase (I think!). I got them in March or April last year, and although this is the first time I’ve shown them on the blog, I have worn them loads and loads! They fit so well and they are very comfortable. Considering I bought them from the Supre website and couldn’t try them on beforehand, I think that’s great! How do you feel about buying clothes online?
This mani took five coats of polish! Five coats! Seven if you count base and top coat! This is two coats of NYX Girls Perfect Gray, a light grey creme, followed by one coat of Candeo Colors Joker, a clear-based polish with different sized glitter in purple, blue, periwinkle, and white, topped with two coats of OPI My Pointe Exactly, a pale grey sheer jelly. Whew!
I think the end result is awesome. I love the combination of colours in the glitter contrasted with the grey. I just wish I’d popped a matte top coat over it before I removed it, just to see what it looked like. I bet it would have been great!

A few days ago, my friend Lani posted a vampy FOTD look on her blog. Her post made me dream of dark lipstick, dark nails, and dark clothing, despite it being summer. It was just my luck that Wednesday was quite a miserable summer’s day, with the weather and temperature being close to that of autumn (fall). It felt odd wearing tights in January but I’m glad I did - and not just for the cold. This dress is very short and very tight! Not a combination I’m used to any more.
Today’s NOTD deserves lots of photos! This is two coats of Ninja Polish Color Changing Garnet over two coats of China Glaze Liquid Leather, with one coat of Seche Vite to finish. Color Changing Garnet is one of three polishes released in the Facets Collection. It is a gorgeous golden amber with gold and green colour shift. You can even see sparks of red and pink in some lights! In my macro shot, you can see that it’s actually a combination of shimmer and glitter.

Two things - check out that duochrome on my pinky, and look at those beautiful glints pink and red. An absolutely stunning polish - photos do not do this baby justice! It has to be seen to be fully appreciated.
The formula of Color Changing Garnet is great. I had no problems with application. One coat over the black base was probably enough, but two coats really does intensify the colour and add a lot more depth.

Despite it raining today, it was still quite warm. Well, humid is probably a better word. I didn’t put on my cardy until later in the afternoon, when the temperature dropped a little. I much prefer this humid but overcast weather we have been having this summer to the burning and searing direct sunlight we have had in previous years. But then again, I still prefer burning and searing sunlight to bitterly cold winters…
Today I have another polish from I Love Nail Polish to show you! This is Blow Pop over three coats of Nubar Lemon, a bright yellow crelly (creme-jelly). Blow Pop is made up of small pink, purple, and blue hex glitters. If you’d like to read a review of ILNP as a brand, check out the first section of my Party of Four post here.
Blow Pop applied fantastically - the formula was just right, and one swipe of the brush over my nails distributed the glitter evenly. Like Party of Four, you can easily control the density of glitter by loading up your brush and simply wiping it on the neck of the bottle until you are happy with the quantity left. Or if you want it super dense, you can leave it as is.
I love this colour combination - it’s super happy and actually makes me feel like I should be attending a party somewhere. Like a little kids birthday party with balloon animals and party hats and clowns and cake.

OK, I think I need to start this post with an apology for my creepy facial expressions in the full outfit photos! The boyfriend and I were chatting away while he was snapping my photos and once of us said something funny and I got the giggles. It was very hard to keep a straight face, and I failed in 99% of the pictures. These two were probably the best. I’m sort of sneering or smirking in them, not a good look!
But moving on - I love this dress. I love the uneven hem, the colours, the back, the material. It’s so pretty! And I bought it for $6! I love bargain hunting!
