NOTD: Team Dyan
Last year, my friend’s daughter had a medical emergency. She was life-flighted to hospital but was unresponsive for a number of days. Luckily, she eventually improved, and is still slowly recovering. A group of us in a nail polish Facebook group decided that during a particular week, we would do a manicure (or two) in honour of Dyan, and also in support of her mum, our friend Brenda. Previously, girls in the group had sent cards to Dyan to show her how much we love her and to wish her the best with regards to her ongoing recovery. We hope that photos of some of these manis will end up on the same wall that Brenda has put those cards, and help to brighten Dyan’s day.

These are my nails for Dyan. The gold is Wet n Wild The Gold and the Beautiful, and the black crackle is Funky Fingers Black Scales. Black and gold are the colours of one of Dyan’s favourite sports teams - the Pittsburgh Steelers. I also chose these colours for another reason. The gold symbolises the hope we all have for Dyan’s recovery. This hope is peeking out from behind the ‘darkness’ - the circumstances in which Dyan became unwell.
