That’s right - another giveaway win! This one was hosted by Abby at Nothing Personail, and was a bit different to the regular giveaways seen on blogs. This was a ‘guess the polish’ contest. Each day, a new photo of the same polish was posted, with a clue, and to enter you had to guess what you thought the polish was. I was very, very lucky because I managed to work out the name of the polish on the first day (I didn’t know this for sure until the end, but each subsequent clue brought me to the same answer so I thought I must be on to something!). This meant that each day I guessed the right answer I got an entry into Abby’s giveaway, so by the end I probably had something like 8 or 9 entries.
The prize was a selection of polishes from some of the brands and stores Abby can access, and it was up to the winner to choose what they wanted! I was so excited when I found out I won but I was also so lost… where do you start!? I ended up giving Abby a huge list of polishes I liked to make things easier for her, so if she couldn’t find something specific I had listed she had others she could look for, and it also gave her a good idea of what kinds of polishes I like generally.

In the end, Abby sent me a mix of specific polishes I had asked for, and a few ones she chose for me!
Elianto nail polish in Aspen Green, Shimmer Violet, and Salsa Pink
Somehow, I had missed Salsa Pink when I was doing my Google searches for polishes. I am so glad Abby included it in my prize! It’s like China Glaze Strawberry Fields on crack. It’s brighter and has visible gold flecks.
I wore Aspen Green as my St Patrick’s Day mani!
This is three coats, with topcoat. It looks like a foil but it’s not, it’s lots of tiny shimmery particles. Aspen Green is the lighter and brighter sister of Zoya Apple.
Sasatinnie nail polish in Q10 and unknown
Look! Right there! On the left! That is an Orly Fowl Play dupe. I was so excited when I saw this in my parcel. In a moment of insanity, I sold my Fowl Play and have regretted it since. Thanks Abby - you read my mind!
Here’s a photo that shows the shimmer in the purpley-blue polish better:
It’s a kind of coppery-gold shimmer. So pretty!
Etude House nail polish in Tender Mint
This polish is totally gorgeous - a pastel mint green with shimmer. Very unique! I have nothing like it in my stash nor have I seen anything quite the same around the internet.
Thanks Abby for hosting the contest and giveaway! Don’t forget to check out her blog at Nothing Personail (I love that name!).
