Well, I think this is the first time I’ve worn an outfit that is made up of items solely from one brand. It was pouring down today and I just grabbed whatever was closest that was warm and comfortable, and it just so happened that they were all from the same store! I only got this jacket two days ago, I had my eye on it for weeks until it finally went on special. It looks a lot better in real life.
The blurry, grainy photos are down to the horrible weather we had today, which meant no chance of outside pictures. I walked to the butchery and vege shop at 5pm to pick up some supplies for the weekend and I pretty much had to swim home, the rain has been that heavy and consistent all day.
Despite the weather, I had two parcels waiting for collection. I braved the rain just for them. From Cherry Culture:
NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone; NYX Single Eyeshadows in Lagoon Sparkle, Wild Fire, Morocco, and Hot Green
NYX Round Lipstick in Shiva; NYX Black Label Lipstick in Citrine
NYX Girls Nail Polish in Gilded Glitter
See, only a small order - I can restrain myself! Gilded Glitter was the whole reason for this haul, I have been waiting for it to be in stock for months so I took the opportunity and got some other items to keep it company. I’m also on a huge orange lipstick kick at the moment and fell in love with the swatch of Citrine.
The second parcel was my first order from Nonpareil Boutique:
Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in Cool as a Cucumber, I Dream of Greenie, I’m Feeling Retro, Don’t Steal My Thunder, and Knock on Wood; Wet n Wild Color Icon Palette in Pride
Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipsticks in Copper Dust, Dark Wine, Cinnamon, Fuchsia with Blue Pearl, Just Garnet, Taj Mauve-hal, and Prism Violet
I really like what I’ve seen from these Wet n Wild items so far. It’s a brand I haven’t had much to do with for years and years - once, in their infancy, they were stocked in the $2 stores here in New Zealand, and the quality was mediocre at best - but these eyeshadows have great pigmentation, and the lipsticks apply smoothly and are also well pigmented. Watch this space to see them in action!
